I am happy to report that I've made great strides in my livingroom during our Spring Into Spring Cleaning Challenge.
I'm just working on the last day and came across an article about using Feng Shui in the living room that I found to be very interesting.

One of my favourite things these days is waking up and walking into my kitchen.
The first thing I notice is the calm and peaceful feeling I get. I usually take a deep breath and just soak it up.
Then I turn on the kettle and get a clean cup. This is the icing on the cake. [...]
I think I've made a break through.
In all of the years that I've spent skullying around, cleaning this, sorting that… catching on that I needed a system and routine… really made a difference around here.
And then I started doing a weekly decluttering session, thanks to Mimi Tanner's Declutter Fast system, that bumped me up another [...]
I said earlier that the number one success factor is self discipline.
The number one thing that will help you out with that is getting in the habit of forming habits.
Habits put it all on autopilot so that there is hardly any effort or self discipline involved. I like that!

Over the years of having varying degrees of success in keeping my home organized, a place I thrive in, I have found that it comes down to one thing, what I call the S word.
SELF DISCIPLINE.

You sit back and watch one thing in your life set in motion an unstoppable momentum of action - in the wrong direction.
